26 May Mnemonica at the 1st UnArchive Forum

Our deep commitment to film preservation and the memory of digital cinema has fatally led us to the 1st edition of the UnArchive Forum, the industry counterpart of the wondrous UnArchive Found Footage Fest whose 4th edition is taking place in Rome right now. The Forum runs from the 27th to the 29th of May 2026.

Given that we view digital cinema as a big living ecosystem – so much so that we have dedicated our brand identity to it – we are delighted that the event is taking place in Rome’s Botanical Gardens in Trastevere.

What Are We Doing There?

In our exhibition space you can learn how Mnemonica is redefining long-term preservation and transforming passive storage into a dynamic resource serving artistic projects, such as those of UnArchive Fest, or the purely commercial exploitation of film assets.

In our panel discussion called Future Heritage: Inhabiting the Cloud to protect digital cinema memory Piero Costantini (Founder & CEO, Mnemonica) and Vittorio Iervese (Professor, UNIMORE) will discuss the various complex issues involved in preserving born-digital content, the opportunities it offers compared to the analogue era, and possible solutions.

Access to the panel and the whole Forum is open to all Festival accreditation holders or via a daily entrance ticket to the Orto Botanico (5€).
