Mnemonica TRE.5 release notes
We are happy to announce that Mnemonica TRE.5 is live. It is the groundbreaking release that brought the new sign-in on 17 October you should already know about, but it carries a few more things worth knowing about.
The new sign-in is here
Passwords and MFA are gone, and Strong projects are in place. Everything you need to know, from passkeys to adding a new device and getting back in after losing one, is in Signing in has changed.
Because the switch came with this release, every session open before it was closed. If Mnemonica asked you to sign in again, that is why. It happens once.
Your contract usage, on the project dashboard
If you manage a project linked to a Mnemonica contract, its dashboard now shows you a usage strip. At a glance you see:
- Your contract: its status, and how many days it has left, with a warning when it is about to expire.
- Your usage against your plan: hot storage, downloads and encoding, each with a clear sign when you are getting close to a limit or have gone over it.
The figures are totals for the whole contract, so every project under the same contract shows the same shared usage. Any prepaid capacity is already included in the limits you see.
No more waiting for a report to find out where you stand: check the strip before a big upload or delivery, and plan ahead.
Redesigned emails
Every email Mnemonica sends now has the same clean design:
- a coloured band at the top tells you at a glance whether the email is information, a confirmation, a warning or something urgent;
- the important action is one clear button;
- the footer tells you why you received the email.
The emails also display better in Outlook on Windows and in the Gmail app. The footer now links one privacy notice, available in English and Italian.
Dolby Atmos masters get a proxy
Audio masters with more channels than a streaming proxy can carry used to fail encoding. The typical case is a Dolby Atmos ADM master, an RF64 WAV holding the 7.1.2 bed followed by the object tracks.
Mnemonica now recognises the bed in these files and folds it down to a stereo proxy you can play right away. The object tracks are not part of the proxy. Very wide files that carry no recognisable bed still cannot be proxied.
Thanks for all the suggestions and requests that let us make Mnemonica better!
Cheers, Mnemonica
